Mary Woodbury lives near Halifax, Nova Scotia, with her partner and two cats. She writes fiction under pen name Clara Hume and has published two novels: Back to the Garden and Bird Song: A Novella. She also contributed to Stormbird Press’s Tales from the River. She runs Dragonfly.eco, a large ecofiction resource, and has interviewed authors from around the world. Mary is a member of Climate Fiction Writers League, Writers Federation of Nova Scotia, International League of Nature Writers, and Nova Scotia’s Ecology Action Centre. She has been a guest author at Chicago Review of Books, SFFWorld.com, Artists and Climate Change, and ClimateCultures.net. Along with Lovis Geier, of Ecofictology, she runs the Rewilding Our Stories Discord community, open to everyone. She enjoys gardening, bird and deer-watching, trailrunning, and nurturing a grove of trees that she planted with her husband in the spring of 2020.
