Introduction to Drama: Home and the Natural World

Institution: Unity College

Instructor: Sam Collier

Description: In the course, we explore theater as both literature and performance. We examine various approaches to telling stories onstage, and we investigate what these works can teach us about the individual, the family, and the community. Our theme pays particular attention to the idea of “home,” and how this idea is influenced by the natural world. From oceans to orchards to gardens, we consider how characters shape, and are shaped by, their environments. (This course is no longer taught).
