Description: Climate justice has figured prominently in the communicative actions of the global youth climate strikes, and media engagement with intersectional environmentalism has begun to emerge. This PhD studentship invites projects that explore the role of media, culture and communication in shaping climate justice understanding, engagement and/or action. Projects can explore, but are not limited to, topics such as climate justice activism, media narratives and representations of climate justice and climate crisis, youth/intergenerational climate engagement, gender and climate engagement, education for climate justice, system change and societal transformations, and can explore any aspect of media and communication, including creative and participatory approaches.
